Dottir CIC
At Dottir, community has always been at the heart of what we do.
Dottir CIC was created to offer free strength, fitness, and wellbeing support programmes for women who may be going through difficult times.
Our current programmes support women experiencing child loss and miscarriage, women affected by domestic violence, rape, and abuse, and women who are struggling with their mental health, whether that’s anxiety, depression, stress, PTSD, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life.
These experiences can be linked to trauma, bereavement, postpartum challenges, or anything else you’ve been carrying.
You don’t need to explain, justify, or put a label on how you feel. If you need support, you are welcome here.
What to expect
These groups are about more than just fitness.
They are about rebuilding strength, physically and mentally, in a safe and supportive environment. They are about connection, community, and creating space for women to be themselves without pressure or judgement.
Each programme combines gentle but empowering strength-based sessions with time to talk, connect, and support one another.
At Dottir CIC, we believe no woman should have to go through loss, trauma, or mental health struggles alone.
This is a place where women can feel seen, supported, and reminded that they do not have to carry everything on their own.

Our Strength & Fitness support programmes are funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, helping us keep support free for the women who need it most.

Strength and fitness support programme for women struggling with their mental health.
These sessions are a safe, supportive space for women who may be:
feeling overwhelmed
struggling with anxiety or low mood
needing time for themselves
wanting to feel stronger — physically and mentally
You are not expected to be fit, you are not expected to be okay, you are just welcome as you are!
